Class of 2025

Jad Hindy

Managing Director

United Arab Emirates

A marketing and CX leader who shaped one of the region's largest expo and city build-outs and argues that long-range vision cascades down to every operator, with personalization at its most refined feeling like the universe getting out of your way.

Induction

Jad Hindy was inducted into the CX Hall of Fame for the role he played in two of the region’s most consequential brand-and-experience build-outs of the past decade, and for the unsentimental view he has of why Dubai operates the way it does.

Hindy was instrumental in the marketing leadership of Expo 2020 Dubai and the Expo City build-out that followed, and he now leads a regional media agency. His framing of what makes Dubai different from other markets is direct. The city operates on a 2040 plan. Every business cascades its objectives off that plan. Even the existence of a Ministry of Happiness is, in his framing, a forcing function: it commits the operator class to deliver in ways most cities never institutionalize. The result is not magic. It is design, sustained over decades.

His position on personalization is the quiet kind. Personalization at its most refined does not feel like a brand building a relationship with the customer. It feels like the universe getting out of the customer’s way. He grounds the argument with proof points that are unglamorous and concrete: paying a utility bill in five seconds on the city’s app, the lost wallet returned to the hotel room because security followed it on camera and brought it up himself. These are not viral moments. They are the operational outcomes of a city designed for them.

What earned Hindy induction is the discipline of carrying this design-mindset standard into commercial work after the city build-outs.

Practice

Hindy’s practice is based in Dubai, leading a regional media agency after senior marketing leadership at Expo 2020 Dubai and Expo City Dubai. His body of work spans brand strategy, experience design at city scale, and the ongoing conversation about what Dubai’s operating model means for the rest of the world. The shift his work has helped drive is a more concrete understanding of what long-range public-sector vision can do when it cascades into the operator class.
