Class of 2025

Kiran Varri

Director, Academics

United Arab Emirates

A CX and management trainer whose principle is one touch point at a time, with the role of an instructor being to teach how to think rather than what to do.

Induction

Kiran Varri was inducted into the CX Hall of Fame for the discipline he has carried into adult professional learning over years of training corporate and retail batches in Dubai across project management, change management, and CX-adjacent disciplines.

Varri leads academic direction for a Dubai-based learning organization, with a portfolio that runs across the management disciplines most relevant to enterprise CX practice. His operating principle is plain. One touch point at a time. The instructor’s job, in his framing, is not to deliver a curriculum. It is to help the participant think, so that whatever situation they encounter back in the work, they bring a stronger reasoning apparatus to it. The curriculum is the vehicle. The thinking is the product.

His example points are concrete. The Zappos one-year return policy used by less than one tenth of one percent of customers is, in his telling, the moment a brand made customers feel powerful. That feeling does not come from a return policy in isolation. It comes from a series of touch points coordinated around making the customer more capable. Compounded over thousands of small consistent acts, the result is a brand that the market remembers in a way that paid acquisition cannot replicate. The instructor who teaches his learners to see this pattern, rather than to memorize the case study, is the one whose learners will recognize the pattern in their own work.

What earned Varri induction is the steadiness of holding a teaching philosophy in a category that often defaults to content delivery.

Practice

Varri’s practice is based in Dubai, leading academic direction for a regional learning organization. His body of work spans corporate and retail training delivery in project management, change management, and CX-adjacent disciplines, with consistent focus on the cognitive craft underneath the curriculum. The shift his work has helped drive is a higher standard for what adult professional learning can be when the goal is reasoning rather than content recall.
